Øivind Tangen

Chief Executive Officer & Member of the Management Board

Øivind Tangen (Norwegian, 1973) became Chief Executive Officer following the 2024 Annual General Meeting. He joined SBM Offshore in 2002, as Operations Readiness Engineer. He has subsequently acquired a rich background of international projects and operational management, from Nigeria to Angola, Nova Scotia, Canada, and Monaco. Since 2014, he held the position of Group Strategy Director, Director of Group Execution Function, and Managing Director Operations, before being appointed to the Management Board as Chief Operating Officer at the 2022 Annual General Meeting. Øivind Tangen began his career in offshore engineering with ABB Offshore Systems in Oslo, and holds an MsC in Naval Architecture from Trondheim University in Norway and a Master’s Degree in MEDEA (Energy, Environmental Management & Economics) from ENI Corporate University in Milan.

Douglas Wood

Chief Financial Officer & Member of the Management Board

Douglas Wood (British, 1971) joined SBM Offshore as Group Financial Director in October 2016. During the Company’s Extraordinary General Meeting of November 30, 2016 he was appointed as a member of the Management Board and took over the role of CFO, and was re-appointed during the 2021 Annual General Meeting for a second term of four years until the 2025 Annual General Meeting. Prior to joining SBM Offshore, Douglas Wood worked for Shell for 23 years in various financial management positions, most recently as CFO and Director of Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K. in Japan. His other roles included Head of Business Performance Reporting & Financial Planning (for Shell Exploration & Production) and Vice President Finance & Planning Exploration (Shell Upstream International). Douglas Wood is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2006 and in 1993 obtained a degree in Classics at Oxford University.

Alexander Glenn

Chief Operating Officer

Alex became Chief Operating Officer on April 12, 2024. He joined SBM Offshore in 2007 as an Operability Engineer and then proceeded to gain a rich experience in international projects and operational management from Asia, to Europe, West Africa, North America and Brazil. In 2017 Alex was appointed Operations Director for the global fleet, and subsequently Program Director for the development and deployment of an integrated business management system, before being appointed Managing Director of Operations in April 2022. Alex began his career in offshore operations with Maersk Contractors in the UK sector of the North Sea and holds a Degree in Marine Technology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.

Olivier Icyk

Chief Business Officer

Olivier became Chief Business Officer on April 12, 2024. He joined SBM Offshore in 1996 as Project Engineer for installation projects, then taking the role of Project Manager on many SBM Offshore products (CALM buoys, Turrets, FPSOs) for 15 years. He later became Fleet Operation Readiness Manager, before moving to FPSOs Business Acquisition Director, later leading the FPSO Product Line and since 2021, as Managing Director Floating Production Solutions, responsible for all Product Development, Business Acquisition and Project Execution for the FPSO, Turret and Installation Product Lines. Olivier has around 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, having started his career working with other contractors in South-East Asia. Olivier is a Graduate in Offshore Engineering from École Centrale de Marseille.

Lilia Alexander

Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

Lilia was appointed Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer and joined SBM Offshore in October 2022, supervising the Legal, Compliance and Insurance functions. Lilia brings to SBM Offshore over 20 years of international legal advisory and leadership experience, in private practice and in-house, with a particular focus on the energy sector. She has previously held positions of VP Legal / General Counsel at Vestas, and most recently, Executive General Counsel, Subsea Production Systems & Services, and Global Executive General Counsel, New Technologies, at Baker Hughes. Lilia holds degrees from the University of Adelaide, Australia, a postgraduate diploma of Legal Practice from the University of South Australia, and Master of Laws (Oil & Gas) from the University of Aberdeen, UK.

Anne Guérin-Moens

Group Human Resources Director

Anne was appointed Group Human Resources Director in April 2016. She joined SBM Offshore in September 2012 as Group Communications Director where she created an all-round communications function for the Company. Anne has over 20 years in senior positions in Marketing, Communications, Change Management and Sustainable Development.  Prior to joining SBM Offshore, Anne built her experience with companies such as Toyota Motor Europe, ExxonMobil Chemical and Alstom. Anne studied Germanic Philology at Liege University and holds a post-graduate from Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium.

Stéphane Lagrange

Managing Director Global Resources & Services

Stéphane Lagrange was appointed Managing Director Global Resources & Services in February 2021 and leads worldwide resource management, project execution core processes, tools and systems for EPCI activities. He joined SBM Offshore in September 2018 as LNG Product Line Director, then moving to the role of Director of LNG, IMODCO and SMP Product Lines in June 2019. Stéphane has over 27 years of international experience in the Oil and Gas EPCI industry, particularly in Project Execution and Management for all scales of projects, executed in multi-centers organization and/or through international partnerships. Stéphane is a Graduate in Chemical Engineering from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble and holds also an Specialized Oil and Gas Engineering Graduate Degree from IFP School in Paris.

Dirk Niers

Managing Director Turnkey

Dirk was appointed Managing Director Turnkey in April 2024 and is responsible for project execution for FPSO, MPF, and Turret products as well as Installation services. Dirk joined SBM Offshore in 2006 as an FPSO Engineer in Monaco before moving to Brazil as Operations Manager. Since 2012 he has been based in Europe and held various positions from Fleet Operation Readiness General Manager, O&M Business Acquisition Director, FPSO Business Acquisition Director, MPF program director and most recently, Project Director for a large FPSO project.
Dirk began his career in the shipbuilding industry at Royal IHC in the Netherlands and holds a Master of Science in Marine Technology from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.

Stein Rasmussen

Group HSSEQ & Sustainability Director

Stein was appointed Group HSSEQ Director in September 2022, overseeing Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality and Sustainability across the Company. He joined SBM Offshore in June 2011 and has held various senior leadership positions such as Managing Director Houston and Chief Strategy Officer HQ Amsterdam. Stein has over 27 years of experience within the Energy Industry with increasing responsibilities. He holds a MS in Ocean Engineering from Texas A& M University, USA.

Jean-Charles Rinaldi

Sales & Marketing Director

Jean-Charles Rinaldi was appointed Sales & Marketing Director in January 2024 and is responsible for Product Marketing, Business Development, Commercial and Sales activities across the Company. He joined SBM Offshore in 2008 as Concept Engineer, then took roles in Project Construction, Start-up and Commissioning before moving to Operations Readiness and FPSO Operations Management. He later joined the Commercial team and became FPSO Business Acquisition Director in 2020. Jean-Charles has over 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, having held positions for SBM Offshore in Europe, the Middle East, China and Brazil. Jean-Charles is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Arts et Metiers, Paristech.

Maurizio Serusi

Managing Director Operations

Maurizio Serusi was appointed Managing Director Operations in April 2024, responsible for managing SBM Offshore’s global portfolio of floating and fixed offshore assets.

He joined SBM Offshore in 2012 as Operations Readiness Engineer, working in Monaco and China before moving to Brazil where he started his leadership journey as Operations Manager for FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela. In 2019 he became the Brazil Operations Director and in late 2022 he was appointed Brazil Country General Manager.

Maurizio began his career in the Oil and Gas Industry with Saipem and holds a Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy.

Evelyn Tachau-Brown

Group Communications Director

Evelyn was appointed Group Communications Director in November 2022. She re-joined SBM Offshore in January 2019 as Employee Engagement Manager after serving as an independent consultant in both the private and public sector, notably on European Commission research and innovation funding programs.
In her current position, she oversees Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Change Management, Diversity & Inclusion, and Experience Management.

Evelyn has 20 years of professional experience across education, hospitality, and communications. She holds degrees in Management, Secondary Education (B.A. French/English), and Communications (M.A.).

Sebastien Tourniaire

Managing Director of Enterprise Optimization

Sebastien was appointed Managing Director of Enterprise Optimization in January 2024 and leads the multidisciplinary division delivering and optimizing processes and solutions in Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Administration at large. He joined SBM Offshore in 2012 as Group Consolidation and Reporting Director and subsequently held the position of Group Controller for 7 years. Prior to joining SBM Offshore, Sebastien began his career in the audit and financial consulting business (Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young) before joining Acergy as Finance Director for Africa and GoM. He holds a Master of Accounting and Finance from the University of Grenoble and graduated from the DESS of Accounting and Financial Audit of Paris Dauphine University, France.

Jaap-Harm Westhuis

Technology, Innovation & Product Development Director

Jaap-Harm was appointed Technology, Innovation & Product Development Director in January 2024. He joined SBM Offshore in 2002 as a Hydrodynamics Engineer and subsequently held several engineering management positions including Engineering Director, and Overall Engineering Project Manager. In 2015 Jaap-Harm joined the Schiedam Execution Center Management Team as Technology Director, overseeing the company’s technology development activities in Schiedam, Houston, Rio de Janeiro, and Kuala Lumpur. From 2018 he led gas product development as Technical Director of the Gas Product Line, before being appointed Group Technology Director in 2020 and leading global Technology Development and Innovation programs across all SBM Offshore’s products and locations.

Jaap-Harm holds an MSc and PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
