SBM gets to know local businesses in Guyana

SBM Offshore was proud to exhibit at the inaugural exhibition ‘Guyana International Petroleum Business Summit & Exhibition’ (GIPEX) in Georgetown, Guyana held in February 2018.

Hosted by Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources in Georgetown, this was the country’s first ever event for the nascent local petroleum industry and associated services. SBM Offshore joined client ExxonMobil and other industry players in supporting GIPEX and showcased its local role and presence to date. We were a silver sponsor of GIPEX under our local subsidiary name – Guyana Deepwater Operations Inc. (GDO). The event proved to be the ideal venue to meet and discuss with local representatives and discuss the role that SBM plays in the oil and gas value chain.
