SBM Offshore announces the launch of two companies: Imodco Terminals S.A. and Imodco Services S.A.

o meet the challenges of the dynamic market for CALM Terminals and after sales services, two independent entities fully dedicated to this business have been created. Building upon SBM’s terminals technology, the two new companies will operate independently from the rest of SBM Offshore, while functioning as 100% affiliates within the Group.

As a result clients will benefit from a more proactive partner in this area and in its role as shareholder the SBM Group will strengthen its leadership on its historical business of CALM Buoys and relevant After Sales Services. This step will facilitate the two Imodco companies in their objective to become the recognised leaders on the relevant technical and commercial innovations by providing bespoke solutions over the full lifecycle for CALM Terminals.

Imodco Terminals is responsible for sales and execution of CALM Terminals turnkey projects. Drawing on its in-house expertise and experienced team, Imodco Terminals provides innovative engineering designs tailored to the specific requirements of the market. In addition, by building upon SBM Offshore’s Terminals Technology and undertaking continual product development in liaison with customers, Imodco Terminals brings innovative solutions to meet the industry’s future needs.

Imodco Services S.A.

The aftersales services are provided by Imodco Services. The strong client focus and extensive knowledge of the team ensures a fast response when spares or services for existing CALM terminals are required.

This company will provide parts sales and inspection & intervention services. The range of activities offered will include supervision of terminals construction; commissioning; installation and start-up; inspection; terminals maintenance (including repair and overhauls), inspection & intervention on Swivels & Mechanical Parts (SMP).
