SBM Offshore has been awarded contracts by ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) for the Whiptail development project in the Stabroek Block, offshore Guyana. SBM Offshore will construct and install the FPSO Jaguar, which will be transferred to EMGL before its installation. SBM Offshore will operate the FPSO for 10 years under an agreement signed in 2023.
The Whiptail project is the sixth development in the Stabroek block, located about 200 kilometers offshore Guyana.
