SBM Offshore’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach illustrates how we pursue our vision of safe, sustainable & affordable energy for generations to come. The Company takes pride in its continuous improvement approach and applies knowledge gained from its performance in future target setting. This has also led to positive and improving ratings in sustainability benchmarks. Three world class ESG-rating agencies- S&P Global, Sustainalytics and CDP- have again recognized SBM Offshore’s performance over the last year.
Sustainalytics rated SBM Offshore #1 among industry peers, reporting that it moved up from the 91st to 93rd percentile.
S&P Global recognized SBM Offshore as an “Industry Mover”, highlighting the improved sustainability performance and the great strides made in being an industry leader. Alongside this designation, SBM Offshore has also been granted the Sustainability Award ‘Silver Class’ moving us from 93rd to 95th percentile.
CDP reported that SBM Offshore is “taking climate action” (i.e. a ‘B’ score).
